December!!

Listen up!- This blog has alot of exciting news. :D
Well, to start it off->

Me, Jacob, Krsity, and Jessica did 'secret santa'
I got Jacob. I thought of what to get him i think for about.. 2 and 1/2 weeks :P And then finally thought of the best thing ever after talking to my family back home. I ended up going to the store and getting pictures printed out to make him an Album of Denmark!
So what i did was i got about 67 pictures printed out, and he can always print out more and put them in the album later on :D
He loved it and teared up when he saw it. So i think it was a pretty good present :D

Christmas was so fun here!
A week before winter break my host dad had me skip school for the day to kill turkeys. We killed about 20 turkeys that day :O
And he had me pull the heart out of the biggest turkey that we had killed.
And said to me: 'It wasnt so bad, was it? How many people do you know, have pulled a heart out of a turkey? Or any animal? None of our other exchange students would have done that :D' 'Now you can go around telling people that you have pulled a heart out of a turkey'
Yes. My host dad is really proud of me.. hahaha

After this... I do understand why people become vegetarians. But where do you think the meat you get from the store comes from? It comes from this process. And I got to experience it. :) and no, im definitly not a vegetarian. haha

Christmas-
We celebrate it on christmas eve. And family comes over, and we have a big dinner, then we dance and sing around the christmas tree, and then we open our presents. :) Heres some pictures:

On the 26th i went to a party in Nordborg. It was all of Nordborg. But there ended up only being 700 people there, which is alot, but thats definitly not all of Nordborg.. haha
But anyways, i went there to see my 1st host family because i hadnt seen them in over a month. I had to walk there, but it was just 30 minutes, so it wasnt too bad. :P
I got there, and i found my host family, and my host dad gave me 2 shots and a beer right when he said hi to me! hahaha Thats Denmark. ;)
Anyways,
After the party i found my friend Casper. And stood outside with him for a while and met some of his friends. One of his friends walked me home. His name is Tom and hes 16 but he doesnt go to my school. But, I got my FIRST KISS that night :D because he walked me home, and then kissed me.. I couldnt really feel it. For 1, I had drinking, for 2, it was -5 Celcius that night.. so lets just say way below freezing level.. :P
But then , he invited me to a party on New years. And i went to that with him.
That was fun, but i didnt really know anyone there except for him. But i got to meet new people which is always good :D
and at midnight, he kissed me :) haha
But that was December :D

November

In November I switched host families. That was interesting.. hah
I love my 1st host family so much that it was really hard to say goodbye. :(
But they threw a small goodbye party on my last night with them :D
And family friends came over.. But everyone ended up getting drunk. My host dads bestfriend fell asleep on the floor.. hahaha
Anyways, It was fun though, and that night I skyped with my family back home becuase it was my sister's 22nd birthday.. And my family got to meet the people at my house--all drunk. hahahahaha it was funny :)

They dont celebrate Thanksgiving here in Denmark. But I went to my friend Jacob's house and his host family cooked Aebleskewer. Its really good :D its like, a ball shape, but its with crepe-pankake type of ball.. and you dip it in jam and powdered sugar. Its hard to explain :P But its really good. Usually its a dessert.. but we ate it for dinner :D

Also in November i did a speech for my rotary club. IN DANISH, because im awesome :D
And they loved it, and were really impressed ;) I had actually made the presentation the day of the meeting because my club's president called me and asked if i could do a 15 minute speech that night--and i was like... 'yea!' without realizing i didnt have a powerpoint ready yet.
Rotary in Oregon has you make one before you leave, which i did, but i looked at it, and the danish is really bad since i made it before i actually came to Denmark..
But my speech went really well, and i wasnt very nervous at all :D

haha.. its been a while..

So, since september 5th alot has happend. ;) Ill just write a few sentances for each of those months.

In september I...

well, there were alot of birthdays that month which made me spend alot of money :P

It was my host dad's mom's, my host mom's, my host sister's, my host aunt's, and a couple family friends birthdays. So it was a pretty busy month. But it was very fun. :D

I miss my 1st host family alot, because in November, i switched :(

But more about september, I also went to a school party called 'the new rave'. That was alot of fun because everyone dressed up in clothes that would glow in front of black lights. So it was really cool--and i think about 400 people went or more becuase it was a school party.

Then in October-

I went to a couple parties with my host family that month. Also, me, Jessica, Kristy and Jacob(also from Australia) all kept meeting and hanging out to discuss the Rotary meeting in Holbaek. That meeting was over Halloween weekend, so we had to dress up there.. but if you had the 'best' costume you could win a prize, so we wanted the best costume. So me and Jacob thought we should all do Shrek, and Kristy and Jessica thought that we should do Alice in Wonderland.. So we decided to 'flip' on it. hahahahahah, and this is how it all went down:

I gave Jacob the coin. He flipped it, and it was the 'Shrek' side. so kristy and jessica said: no!! do it again!

Jacob did it again..... it was Shrek. he did it again, it was still shrek..

So kristy said: no! let me try. ....yes. it was Shrek again. hahaha

And then Jessica said, ok, let me try. It was shrek. so she threw it--and it was FINALLY alice in wonderland.. hahahaha

We went with Shrek. :D

Jacob was Shrek, I was fiona, and jessica and kristy didnt want to be donkey and puss n' boots, so they decided to be the gingerbread man and pinnochio.

hahaha, so we went to the meeting. and On Halloween we all got ready and Jacob and I painted eachother green.. and i had made ears with tinfoil, so we also painted those and clipped them in our hair. And guess what?? we won best costume!! :D
